Giving a gift in the corporate environment is a standard practice. Sending gifts through your corporation is an appropriate way to show appreciation, offer condolences, congratulations and many other wishes which are difficult to express solely through words. Gift baskets are sent for many reasons including:
To attract a potential client/prospect
As a thank you for completion of an important project or job
The opening of a new office
To welcome a new employee to the company
To a client or employee who has had a death in their family
Business milestone, merger, restructuring or anniversary
Holiday Corporate gift giving at Christmas, Thanksgiving or New Year’s
Thanking a client
To market or promote your products or service
To improve employee moral
As a group gift to a team who has gone above and beyond
An apology to a colleague or customer
For an employee or client who is ill
Baby basket for a colleague or employee who has had a baby or adopted a child.
A gesture of goodwill
A wedding or retirement
An apology basket when you’ve made an error
As a donation at a networking event
The gift has to be neither expensive or extravagant. The main goal is to send a gift to convey your feelings and if sent with sincerity, it will be appreciated.
Gift baskets and gifts of appreciation in the business world are an important aspect in many businesses. Although, many of our corporate clients choose to do a majority of their gift giving during the Christmas, holiday season, we have noticed over the past few years that some clients are choosing to think outside the box by sending their seasonal gifts for Thanksgiving, or even New Year’s. Thanksgiving sentiments can include “during this time of year, when we think of all we are thankful for, we think of you. Thank you for being such great clients.” New Year’s baskets can be sent the first week of the new year. Gifts at this time are a great choice, as everyone is getting back to work after enjoying the holidays and that first week can seem awfully long. A New Year’s gift can be themed as “Thank you for everything in 20__, we look forward to working with you towards another successful year.” Further customization is available by taking advantage of our imprinting options. We can custom imprint your company name and a holiday message on ribbon and display it on your basket as a sash (think Miss America). We are here to assist you. If you require help with these, or other gift giving needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Although the title has changed over the years-Secretary’s Day, Personal Assistant’s Day, Executive Assistant’s Day, Administrative Professional’s Day, this day is meant to recognize those exceptional individuals who make our lives so much more productive. National Secretary’s Week was established in 1952 and is now observed the last full week in April. Administrative Professional’s Day, formerly known as Secretary’s Day, is celebrated on Wednesday during this week. (April 23, 2008, April 22, 2009 and April 21, 2010). Over the years, it has become a worldwide event and is one of the largest workplace observances. Gift ideas include gifts of appreciation and/or lunch at a restaurant. This holiday is meant to show our appreciation to those in administration, including those who contribute to the daily needs of a company who often go unacknowledged.
